Activity Description

Go off the beaten track on the Klaasvoogds Meander Route. With stops at olive farms, a lavendar farm, a boutique hotel spa, a succulent garden, restaurants and numerous prestigious wine estates such as Kranskop Winery, Fraai Uitzicht and Exdiem, this route offers a unique variety of experiences in the Robertson Wine Valley. The open-air vehicle will circle the Meander to 7 hidden gems, some situated undiscovered on gravel roads, passing through rolling hills to areas where you will find yourself right in the middle of the unspoiled countryside. Sit back and relax as you enjoy the drive and feel how the air changes and you get to reconnect with nature. Often you will be welcomed by the owner or a family member of the estate to introduce you to their locally produced products.

You will be provided with a route map or the Tour Guide Driver can assist you to pick the estate and lunch spot of interest as you should be able to cover max 5 stops. Hop-off and explore the unique offerings at your own pace, from wine tastings, olive, – pate’s, – oil and – tapenade tastings to a lavender essential oil extraction tour, cordial tastings, a cellar tour, succulent garden walk, and many restaurant options for lunch. You will have the freedom to create your own adventure by deciding how you want to spend your time and budget at each estate. The vehicle will circle the route in one direction every hour. Once you are ready, hop-on and move on to the next location.
