Activity Description

This ticket is for a solo rider and passengers are aged between 3 and 9 years old.

Scootours is an unique and true forest experience. Enjoy an exhilarating downhill on the Monster Mountain Scooter, descent through indigenous forest, sweepy bends and single track. A scenic minibus ride takes you into the heart of the forest to the best hills to start your descent in the Knysna Forests. All of this while on the lookout for the our local wild life, the majestic Knysna Loerie, the shy bushbuck and wild boar.
Scooters are non motorized making this the ideal eco friendly activity.
These Swiss designed scooters are used in the Alps during the summer season on the ski slopes when the snow is gone. All trips are guided by professional qualified guides. All scooters can handle one adult with a child passenger.

Solo riders must be 10 years and up and able to ride and balance a bicycle. The tour is an two hour excursion from the time that you depart to the time that you come back

Arrangements

WhenSeven days a week 364 days a year, our tours are however weather dependent. We are not open on Christmas Day.
WhereWe are based at our Activity Desk at Shop TH23, Heads Ups Coffee & Co, Thesen Island, Sawtooth Lane, Knysna. Guests are asked to arrive 30min before departure times. Directions: drive down Long Street in the direction of the Knysna Heads. Continue down Long Street, over the bridge and onto Thesen Island. At the traffic circle, keep left and park. Heads Up Coffee & Co is opposite Milk and Honey.
WeatherWeather dependent, we unfortunately can't operate trips in heavy rain.
What to WearClosed shoes, shorts or long pants, a PEAK CAP and a lightweight jacket - the weather changes quickly in the Garden Route!
Things to BringSunblock, PEAK CAP and your camera. Please wear closed shoes, and either shorts or long pants.
Guests or SpectatorsNo spectators allowed. Spectators are welcome to wait for the tour to return. Please arrive 30min before departure times. Our check in counter is based at Heads Up Coffee &Co, on Thesen Island in Knysna. Our convenience store is the base for all our activities - so don't forget to enquire about availability on our boat cruises, kayak and SUP hire ! Please honour your reservation. If you can no longer make the date and time, kindly call us to change your booking or cancel via the links in your confirmation email.

This is a really cool, unique trip and a great way to do a short explore of the surrounding Knysna forests. Both our guide and driver were a good laugh, and very knowledgeable of the forest and surrounding area. You obviously have to pay attention to what you're doing with the bike, so it is not a relaxing lazy trip through the forest where you can look around.
